Like any other civil servant, the DOJ is supposed to work for the American people… but it looks like they believe their ‘real’ employer is Joe Biden’s DNC.
How else do you explain the choices they make in how they throw the book at anyone with an (R) after their name — including rushing Trump staffers off to jail for refusing a subpoena — but look for every possible excuse NOT to charge wrongdoing when parties are aligned against them.
After some outrageous 1A violations against Project Veritas who had lawfully come into possession of Ashley Hunter’s diary — but had opted not to publish the contents, the FBI went looking for the people who sold it to the journalists.

Ashley had left it behind in a room she had been staying in, and it was discovered by another party with some belongings. There was no forced entry. There was no theft. It was found after it had been abandoned.
That didn’t stop the DOJ from making a literal federal case out of it. Gotta protect The Family, after all.
The Justice Department on Tuesday asked a New York district judge to sentence the woman who stole first daughter Ashley Biden’s diary to four to 10 months in prison for the crime.
Prosecutors for the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York had initially sought a sentence of six months of home confinement, followed by three years of supervised release, for Aimee Harris, who pleaded guilty in August of 2022 to conspiring to commit interstate transportation of stolen property in connection with the diary theft.
Harris has requested that her sentencing hearing date be moved 12 times, according to prosecutors, who argue that her excuses are an effort to “improperly delay” her punishment and merit a stiffer sentence.

Harris came across the first daughter’s diary, tax records, private family photographs and her cellphone in September 2020, during a stay at a home in Delray Beach, Fla., where President Biden’s daughter had previously been living, according to the DOJ.
The diary contained “highly personal entries,” the DOJ noted.
After stealing Ashley Biden’s property, Harris recruited co-defendant Robert Kurlander to help sell it, the government said, knowing that it belonged to “an immediate family member of a then-former government official who was a candidate for national political office.” — NYPost
The trial is in New York, eh? The place that releases repeat violent offenders, but nails it’s political enemies to the wall. No surprise here.
What made that diary such a big deal? The personal life of Joe’s troubled daughter isn’t exactly a pressing interest to the public, is it?
It’s not what it says about Ashley that is important. But what does or might say about her dad or other family members? That’s a whole other issue. Especially if there’s anything in there that could corroborate any of the other allegations of corruption already being raised against them.
There’s also the ‘molested his daughter’ allegation.
The DOJ is demanding prison time for the person who discovered Ashley Biden’s diary.

Authorities made a big deal about this diary being ‘sensitive’ information about a candidate for national political office.
Surely the hammer came down on the likes of Jim Comey who maliciously kneecapped a sitting president by leaking classified information with the sole purpose of achieving political gain… right?
