There is a certain species of arrogance particular to people championing a social cause where they assume that God Himself smiles on their righteous cause.
That kind of certainty doesn’t leave much room for humility or soul-searching. Nor does it even leave room for nuance or course-correction. Everything done for ‘the cause’ becomes justifiable.
Such thinking flips the lesson of Joshua 5:13-15 on its head. Joshua learned that God was not on ‘his’ side, but that he (Joshua) was commanded to be on the Lord’s side.
The lesson is, we are to follow HIS guidance and not the other way around.
There is a reason Letitia James stood before this congregation and talked about her ‘stumbling’. She has been caught in a scandal that could totally discredit her biggest campaign promise — destroying Donald Trump.
Anna Bower caught some key parts of James’s ‘sermon’ in a thread she posted.
She took to the pulpit to address racial grievances, elevating race in a way that directly contradicts the New Testament teaching about racial unity. She called out certain Republicans by name as ‘hateful’, while asking for grace and patience with her own ‘stumblings’.
"You cannot expect Black women to be perfect and save the world," Willis said. "We need to be allowed to stumble. We need grace."
"We are all flawed, sinners, unworthy, imperfect, damaged…But we are qualified upon His calling," she continued before concluding her remarks. pic.twitter.com/B9NcE14BdV

Those ‘stumblings’ involved being a homewrecker and committing what looks to be fraud on the taxpayer by hiring an unqualified man to prosecute Trump (and coordinate with Biden’s DOJ in doing so) while soaking the taxpayer by taking lavish trips with the guy she hired.
James’s name came up in divorce hearings. And his compensation did NOT look good for the Trump prosecution team.
She wants to be treated with grace and forgiveness, while inventing entirely unprecedented criminal cases with no basis in law as a basis for stripping Trump of his right to do business in New York. Just days ago she sought to INCREASE the penalties against Trump despite her inability to demonstrate that ANYONE had been injured by Trump’s assessments of his properties.
She needs to got back to Jesus’ parable of the unforgiving servant (Matt 18:21-35) How did the master deal with that servant who, after, having his own massive debt forgiven, went to shake down another servant over a a few month’s wages?
If you demand forgiveness while trying to frame someone else for crimes they never committed, you might want to take a step back from even mentioning the name of Jesus and ask yourself whether you could even pick the Lord of Glory out of a police lineup with a couple of Jedi cosplayers?
She needs to step back from the casual blasphemy and figure out who this Jesus you are invoking REALLY is.

If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive
Much of the Left loathes masculinity and they love to paint Jesus as a non-offensive bearded woman who endorses their agenda. This book blows that nonsense all to hell. From the stonking laptop of bestselling author, Doug Giles, comes a new book that focuses on Jesus’ overt masculine traits like no other books have heretofore. It’s informative, bold, hilarious, and scary. Giles has concluded, after many years of scouring the scripture that, If Masculinity Is ‘Toxic’, Call Jesus Radioactive.
