The mainstream media in the U.S., which essentially dominates the airwaves, print, and Internet, seems to be coordinated on all things related to protecting Joe Biden and incriminating Donald Trump. Collectively, however, there doesn’t seem to be a command center that mandates what they need to cover and what they need to ignore.
Predictable as the Rain
In lockstep fashion, nevertheless, one can reasonably predict how the Left will handle any particular feature, story, or news item. For example, the congressional hearings headed by Jim Jordan of the House Judiciary Committee and by James Comer of the House Oversight Committee, have more than illuminated that the Bidens have taken huge bribes from foreign entities.
Most recently, Joe Biden claimed he had little knowledge of Hunter’s dealings and that he was never involved in the actual mechanics of the agreements. Yet we now know that he was on the phone at least 20 times with Hunter’s business associates, at Hunter’s request. Joe had significant knowledge of what was going on, knew to whom Hunter was speaking to, and knew the nature of the deals.
In short, Biden has lied in ways that make previous presidents saints by comparison. Concurrently, The New York Times, if they cover any of it, will bury the news someplace, use obscure language, and ensure that the story in its broadest form never sees the light of day. The Washington Post will figure out some way to drag in Trump, a Republican senator, or congressional representative, and portray them as the bad guys.
All on Cue
What could be behind the Left’s intrinsic ability to operate as if they were fully coordinated by some master of the universe, pulling strings to fine-tune the ways in which the mainstream news outlets manipulate, thwart, ignore, or gaslight the truth, then get up the next day and do it again?
As long as something happens in the world or in the U.S. which contributes to the demise of America, and the potential for a one-world government, ruled by elite bureaucrats, backed by Uber Leftist billionaires, everyone in the Leftist media knows exactly how to treat each story and each issue.
If something will strengthen America, such as getting at the truth about the Bidens, or recognizing that Trump has been discriminated to the max, they will contort the news. Thus, they have a uniform way of presenting information and corroborating each other’s stories.
The Naïve Buy it All
The uninformed public, the sheeple who merely accept whatever is handed to them from what they believe to be authentic major media, don’t doubt what they’re being told. After all, if you work a 9-5 job and you don’t have time to dwell upon current events, you’re counting on major media sources to provide you quick hits and tidbits of news to stay reasonably informed.
Thus, although you live in a world of intense propaganda and constant gaslighting, when one item which you read in one source is corroborated by something you hear about in another place, then picked up on the Internet, and so on, by golly, that must be the truth! Look at all these sources that are covering the same issue and have the same general conclusion! What could be simpler?
Some people live their whole lives inside of this information cocoon. As a fish doesn’t know it’s in water, they do not know that they’re so far removed from what our Founding Fathers envisioned, so far from being an authentic representative republic, and so far removed from having a free and fair press, that they cannot effectively sort out the truth no matter what is shown to them. And it’s understandable.
Cognitive Dissonance
Suppose you grow up in a family where your father was kind and good to you, every single second of your life. Then you find out that he was a war criminal, child predator, or something equally heinous. You could now have a level of cognitive dissonance that you might not be able to resolve. Or, it might take the rest of your life to come to grips with the reality about your father.
So it is with the reality about America as perceived by naive Liberals. Many will live their entire lives and pass on their views, before they leave, to other family members, particularly children. Maybe the children will have the ability to discern the truth but, in most cases, it appears that they do not.
Millions of these people voted for Joe Biden, obviously, not 81 million. His actual voters fell for everything that was spoon-fed to them. It wouldn’t matter if all of today’s revelations about Biden came out two days before the election. The mainstream press would cover for Biden and the sheeple would be unable to know the truth.
The Usual Suspects
The mainstream press would use its familiar fallbacks: It’s Russian disinformation, it hasn’t been corroborated, the source is tainted, the FBI is investigating and nothing has been uncovered, it’s still under review, and so on. They have no shortage of ways to ensure that you will not believe an authentic report about the evil doings of one of their own.
No short-term solutions appear to counteract the stranglehold that the Leftist media has on our society. The long-term solution is clear. We need TV networks as established as ABC, NBC, and CBS, newspapers with the circulations and prestige of The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Miami Herald, The Chicago Tribune, and all the other Leftist media outlets.
We need the radio equivalence of NPR and cable stations to pick up where Fox once tread, but has since faltered. We can rail about the situation ‘til the cows come home, but it’s time to devote our money to creating long-term institutions of the magnitude that we’re up against.
The Right-wing billionaires among us, hopefully, are already contemplating this.
Please, uber billionaires, when you die, leave multibillions to some organization that can start a legitimate alternative to The New York Times, to CBS News, and 60 Minutes. This would be the greatest contribution you could make to society.
