One of the defining characteristics of a police state is when law enforcement treats friends of the regime and its enemies according to very different standards.
Friends of a police state’s regime will get the kid glove treatment even when wrongdoing is obvious. Enemies of the regime will have the flimsiest of outrageous allegations treated as threats against the state.
There’s a reason for this. When ‘the state’ is aligned with a leader or a party, any rival to the party or its leader IS a threat to the state.
This is why Putin, like other tyrants before him, has been known to murder or imprison his rivals and critics. Remember his arrests of the activist band ‘Pussy Riot’?
Let’s review how Putin dealt with his gravest threat
Alexei Navalny, former head of a Russian anti-corruption foundation, exposed Putin’s palace worth $1.3 Billion. That massively popular YouTube video saw 93 million views within a week.
His first arrest was in 2011, for protesting Russia’s rigged elections, took him to prison for 15 days. He ran for Mayor of Moscow in 2013, and was convicted on charges of embezzlement one day after he announced his candidacy. He was given a suspended prison sentence and allowed to walk free. When he tried to challenge Putin in 2018, Russian election officials used the suspended sentence to invalidate his candidacy.
In August of 2020, on a flight out of Moscow, he was poisoned with a novichok, a Soviet-developed nerve agent. He continued his anti-corruption efforts exposing Putin’s insiders. His group filmed the viral video of Putin’s palace in 2021. He was jailed, January, 2021, continued to lead an uprising against Putin, had further charges and stricter sentences leveled against him… until new reports reveal that he eventually died in prison.
His death in prison
We have only the word of Putin’s regime to go by on any details of his death in prison reported on Friday morning.
"Alexey Navalny died in the IK-3 penal colony in Yamal-Nenets region in Russia. The statement says that Navalny became unconscious after a walk and resuscitation attempts failed." So sounds like someone beat the s* out of this poor dude. pic.twitter.com/1GGNNQHasV

The public is — understandably — skeptical.
Russian newspaper editor and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dmitry Muratov told Reuters today the death of jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny was “murder”, and said that he believed prison conditions had led to his demise.
Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched a procedural probe into the death, the Investigative Committee said.
Leonid Volkov, Navalny’s chief of staff, said that the statement from the prison service could be interpreted as a “confession” that they deliberately killed Navalny, although his team is yet to verify the information. — Guardian

Biden’s rhetoric

Joe Biden made a speech directed at Putin about ‘trust’, the rule of law and the respect of norms.
Meanwhile, in Biden’s America…
At the very same time that connected Democrats like Hillary Clinton and the Biden family keep getting kid glove treatment from law enforcement (Hunter almost had complete immunity until a judge quashed it, and key criminal charges were shelved until the clock had run out on them… we have been seeing people in Trump’s circle have the book thrown at them… and new reports show that work began with takedown operations initiated by our own CIA.
There has been evidence of cooperation, perhaps coordination, between Biden’s White House and SEVERAL of the legal cases against Trump.
There is HARD work among the Democrats to disqualify Trump, who just *happens* to be the leading opponent to the Biden re-election bid.
If you go online, you will see Dem partisans — shamelessly — voicing their earnest desire to see Trump ‘die in prison’.
What’s that old saying again?
When someone tells you who they are… believe them?
When Joe Biden points a crooked finger at Putin for the weaponization of his government against political enemies… our very simple reply even has a convenient NYPD paddywagon in the background.
John The Baptist: A Rude Awakening Precedes A Great Awakening.
This timely little tome chronicles the politically incorrect ministry of one of God’s most effective wildmen, John the Baptist, who prepared the way for Christ’s ministry.
The abrasive message of repentance John preached 2000 years ago is still confrontational and offensive today — but it is also life-changing.
In our putrid, worldly culture that has turned away from God, this book is a must-read for every Christian.
Available in paperback for those of you who like the feel of the pages in your hot, little hands, on Kindle to keep it right at your fingertips, and as an epic Audiobook.
