If you thought America had strayed a LONG way from Martin Luther King’s ideal of people being judged ‘by the content of their character’… wait until you see THIS!
Normally, when you hear Nelson Mandela’s name mentioned, we think of him later in life, where he became a leader the world largely admired for helping South Africa turn the corner from its apartheid history.
In the end, his life and example became a sort of shorthand for courage and human rights. World leaders flocked to attend has funeral (where Obama infamously took those selfies). Joe Biden, too, has tried to bask in Mandela’s reflected glory by claiming to have been ‘arrested’ in South Africa while on his way to see Mandela. Even the NYTimes had to call him out for THAT whopper.
Not many people will look to the example of Mandela’s earlier years as a violent communist revolutionary or his sympathies toward shady revolutionary movements even into his later years.
But the truth about Mandela is somewhat more shaded. He will be remembered for his magnificent legacy of racial unification in the aftermath of his release from prison in 1990. Mandela’s critics worried, not unreasonably, that the committed leader of the African National Congress could lead a race war in revenge for the horrors of apartheid. Instead, Mandela took the leadership of his country with an open hand, and in the process, set a global example of forgiveness on both a personal and national stage.
But Mandela was also a terrorist leader associated with the Communist Party during his early career. His ANC was responsible for violence and murder against both military and civilian targets. During his prison term, his wife Winnie became famous for allegedly using “necklaces” — oil-soaked tires set aflame and placed around the heads of opponents. (They later divorced.) He remained close with Cuban dictator Fidel Castro (“Long live the Cuban revolution. Long live comrade Fidel Castro”), personally supported Libyan thug Moammar Gadhafi (“It is our duty to give support to the brother leader”), sold tanks to the Syrians and backed the terrorist Palestinian regime of Yasser Arafat (“There are many similarities between our struggle and that of the PLO”). Mandela said: “If there is a country that has committed unspeakable atrocities in the world, it is the United States of America. They don’t care for human beings.” — ClashDaily
This video swings right into the ‘Hitler did nothing wrong’ lane by openly defending the murder of Jews by Hamas… cheering it on… and pledging to help arm Hamas in the future.

These two minutes of hate sound like they could have been written in an American Ivy League college… or perhaps in a Democrat rally somewhere. They were uttered by Julius Malema.
This radical seems to think that Mandela rose to prominence because he murdered his way into leadership. He did not. Mandela’s eventual success came from doing the very thing (ie: ‘kiss the enemy’ rather than ‘kill the enemy’) that this guy claims cannot and will not work.
This speaker is claiming Jews have no lawful place in the region, that the Jews are ‘stealing the land’ of the Palestinians and that the people of Palestine have nothing to lose but their chains. He says ‘condemning Hamas is an act of cowardice’.
“There is nothing wrong with what Hamas is doing”
He plans to arm Hamas and strip Israel of its Embassy.
The reason he gives for this is unreal.
We can’t stay with murderers in the same area, he says. Can’t breathe the same air as those who kill innocent people, he says.
Seriously? Dude just promised to help a terror group advance their Jihadi ambitions, approved the kidnapping, murder and rape of civilians. They might want to resolve their own violence problems before turning their attention to other countries.
